Law360, Los Angeles (July 11, 2017, 8:44 PM EDT) — Benjamin Moore & Co. Inc. and three other paint companies reached proposed settlements with the Federal Trade Commission over allegations that they deceptively advertised some of their paint products as free of potentially harmful chemicals, the agency announced Tuesday.
The FTC accused Benjamin Moore, ICP Construction Inc., YOLO Colorhouse LLC and Imperial Paints LLC of claiming their products are free of emissions and volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, without any supporting evidence.
