Man charged with animal cruelty

MORGANTOWN — A man faces a felony charge for torturing a dog, according to his arrest report.

The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department charged Timothy G. Liming, 65, of Core, with felony animal cruelty. He was arraigned in Mon County Magistrate Court on Wednesday with bail set at $10,000.

He faces one to five years in prison if convicted.

According to his criminal complaint: Liming tortured a black lab mix by placing it in a tool box and hitting it with an unknown object. A video of the incident was turned over to police.
