KINGWOOD — The opening of a a proposed drug rehabilitation center in Preston County is being delayed so the director can address community concerns.

Jacob’s Ladder is a proposed addiction treatment center that plans to locate at Brookside Farms, LLC, in Aurora, southern Preston County.

The facility was supposed to open early in 2016, but program director Dr. Kevin Blankenship said he wants to address community concerns before opening.

“I want to meet with the residents and discuss their concerns and listen to what they have to say,” he said.
