MORGANTOWN — They are ultra-productive goal scorers, with a program-record 15 in three NCAA women’s soccer tournament victories.
They have taken an almost incomprehensible 71 shots in those three games.
They are a team with four players who have scored six or more goals this season.
They are … Penn State.
“They are prolific,” said WVU coach Nikki Izzo-Brown, whose team (19-2-1) squares off against the Nittany Lions (19-3-2) at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, in University Park, Pa., with a trip to the Final Four on the line.
“In their attack, they are efficient. They are scoring all sorts of goals. They are such an attacking-minded team with so many different weapons. They are solid. They don’t have any holes.”
